Information has proven to be useless without application.

Happy Saturday!

Kendra Wright inspired me to update this list. So here it is.

But first, why the quote above?

I think Blake is my favorite business-y guy right now. Young, very successful, deep thinker, cares about business and the soul - he currently runs Kollege.com on Skool.com.

If you watch one of his videos, try this one:

I would say he’s an acquired taste, but if you spend enough time around him, and see the success of his clients, you’ll think twice about moving on.

Recognize anyone on this page from our industry? www.kollege.com

Information without application is useless.

Information with application is useful.

Here’s where we come in.

We are the “applicators”.

All the best podcasts, and all the best books, and all the best coaches, (and all the best technology), is useless if its not implemented.

I’ve fallen into the trap as I’m sure you may have as well - buy a book hoping it will finally “have the answer.” Or listen to another podcast instead of doing the thing.

Or unnecessarily complicating something.

Another thing Blake says:

Anywhere you see complexity reveals that you are in pain, because simplicity is addressing discomfort and complexity is soothing pain.

Now a list of great podcasts can certainly make life complicated - thousands of great ideas, or wishing you had more time to listen to more podcasts.

Keep it simple, focus on one.

I think along with a daily challenge to myself to simplify, also to be grateful. We’ve never before had so much access to so much useless information (I mean, if un-applied :).

Enough with the snark, Joe, these podcasts are incredible!

listed by total followers (LinkedIn & Twitter) of the hosts:

There’s so many AI notetakers for advisors, how does one simplify and pick one?

Well, here’s how FinMate AI is different:

  • Does not train their AI on your client’s data

  • Does not read all the notes in your CRM

  • Does not read all your emails

  • Deletes its recordings on a regular basis

  • Does not say “there’s no recording involved”

  • Founded by a financial advisor

I’m not saying “this is the way,” but it is a different way, and a way that is very attractive to firms that care about quality, privacy, security, and well… honesty :)

Now back to the list:

*Some people don’t have their followers showing so LinkedIn is capped at “500+ connections”. If that’s you, feel free to reach out and let me know your total LinkedIn followers.

Now imagine 1 applier of 1 podcast idea to change 1 person’s life…

Until Next Time,

Joe

P.S. what a pie!
