From my memory, probably the tech I’ve enjoyed using the most over the last few months has been Plenty.
Try visiting the website and hovering over the header links… the circle that shows up is oddly satisfying - it only gets better inside. Simple, clean, effortless, powerful.
Ok, so what AdvisorTech has “taste”. Now for the caveats:
I haven’t demoed all 400+ tools
I have a strong bias toward newer, better, and cheaper (after all, isn’t that what technology is for?) companies… and probably other biases as well
Some companies have great utility but not necessarily winning at taste
Let’s begin:
CRM - drawing a blank here - I don’t think I’ve found a CRM on earth that I love yet - they all leave so much to be desired. I did really like Pipedrive’s funnel values based on what step a prospect was, also their timeline view. That would be very cool for financial planning to see what clients you’ve interacted the most with, etc.
Financial Planning - you might think RightCapital, but its a bit sterile, I’m going with Libretto - there are a few core concepts behind the platform that really made it stand out for me
Performance Reporting - Altruist
Portfolio Management - Altruist
Trading/Rebalancing - Altruist
Custodian - Altruist - they’ve done a real life miracle, made custodians tolerable again
Document Management - Advyzon - odd choice maybe, but being able to link documents directly to the “Contracts and Dates” tab, so easy, leaves you feeling very organized
Investment Research and Analytics - Riskalyze has been my favorite - they simplify it - LOVED the GPA
Billing AUM Fees - Altruist
Social Media Archiving - MirrorWeb probably
Compliance - RegVerse? - I haven’t used, but looks great from the website
Retirement Distribution Planning - IncomeLab
Risk Tolerance - Riskalyze conquered taste a long time ago, and they still have it though pricey / StratiFi also
Client Data Gathering - I feel like Typeform introduced “pleasant” data gathering
Estate Planning - Wealth.com has worked pretty hard on their brand
Advice Engagement - Elements
SMS - CurrentClient
Proposal Generation - Riskalyze
Philanthropy - PhilanthPro
Lead Generation - Zoe Financial
Prospecting - Wealthfeed
Debt Optimizer - Sora Finance
Digital Onboarding - Altruist
Budgeting - Rocket Money
Email Newsletter - Beehiiv
So, I’d love to hear from you, what software do you find delightful to use?
